1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder

2 egg whites (or 1/4 Cup liquid egg whites)
5 TB applesauce
1 1/2 Cups buttermilk

Add all of the ingredients, except the nuts and chocolate chips, to a large bowl. Mix well with a whisk. Pour onto a preheated griddle or pan. Sprinkle some nuts and/or chocolate chips onto the pancakes in the pan before flipping them over. The pancakes should take about 1-2 minutes per side.
